None of my excel macros are working!!!

Good afternoon all

Apologies as this appears to be a common topic but none of my excel macros are working. No matter whether I try to run from an assigned button or from VB Editor I receive the same error message saying that the macros either do not exist or are disabled. As I mentioned this is a common issue and I have tried all of the suggested fixes from other posts and on google/youtube, but none of them can fix my issue. Trust centre is set up correctly, all macros are enabled, i've created all from normal modules not class modules, i've created new modules and copied across the code....same results. I've even repaired excel thinking this was a global issue as all macro enabled workbooks have stopped working. The only thing I can say is that when I go to assign a macro to a created button, the list is empty. But when I open VB Editor, I have modules there to select. Saying that though, I created a new module which then appeared in the 'assign macro' drop down, tried to run, same result. I am myphed by this.

Has anyone come across this issue before and what did you do to resolve?

No, no update, still on Office 365 so I believe is still 2016

as your Create New Sheet button works on my side so the issue is on yours, like Excel needing to be repaired or reinstalled ...

365 is NOT 2016!!! So which do you have? Update your profile, please.

The message is implying the same issue - please follow the link I provided and read the information carefully. Things have changed in MS365.

WOW! I was not aware of this change. Thank you for notifying, otherwise I would have been going around in circles trying to resolve. I'm not sure how i'll get around it apart from re-writing every macro in all of my workbooks out by type and create new workbooks. I'll have a read of your link as I am sure that the answer is there.

I will for sure add to your and those who else helped reputations, I always do. I haven't yet resolved as where the link is telling me to go to allow trusted files, I do not see that option so a little more digging required. But as soon as resolved, I'll mark thread off as solved also.
