    Getting the string "bom parent" for an item

    I have a data set that looks like this, but can be 11 levels deep and with over 5000 lines

    I am looking for a VBA code that can give me the string so my data set will look abit more like this and not take hours to run

    I?ve been told we should put the data into an array
    I have also asked on mr.excel

    My challenge was met by a legend WBD who send me a code and it took what were 8 hours or more down to mere seconds.
    I would leave a link here if anyone finds them self in the same spot as me, but i´m able to.
    But Karadog´s code is also epic and works, thx!!!
