Change original value from VLOOKUP result from table

    Hi everyone,

I am currently attempting to create a file that allows a user to recall information from an excel table on a separate sheet given a specific lookup "Keyword", and then be able to edit the multiple results that are returned.

I apologize for the lack of images, but it's my first couple of postings and I am currently limited on those. I've included a sample workbook of the idea I have going so far.

Check this out, it returns and updates the values using the message box:

Please note that this code assumes the data is in the first sheet of the workbook and that the headers are in the first row. You may need to adjust the code to match the layout of your data.

Re: Change original value from VLOOKUP result from table

Hi raghibakhter, thanks for the reply!

I think this is very close to what I am looking for, and it has sprung up an idea.

I am wondering if you could help me figure a few things out.
The code targets a table on the active sheet, is there a way to make it target a table on a separate sheet instead?
It also prompts the user for a keyword, is there a way to have it reference a cell with the keyword in it?

I've updated my file here to reflect what I am talking about, I'd like to see if there is a way for someone to use the
dropdown list in B1 to lookup the Keyword in the table located in Sheet2, then, change what has been returned
in the VLookup in B4 (Company Name in this instance).

My plan is to eventually do multiple lookups, with multiple "edit" buttons using this, and I think these foundations
    will really help that out.
Hi again! Just making an edit. I was able to take a better look, and the VBA code you provide works for exactly what I needed. Thank you for helping me with my problem
