Macro button to log who work is assigned to by task

I'm looking to be able to allocate work that is coming in via tickets fairly but only to those who can do that task and then want to log the number of allocations on a tab for each task.

    For example,

A ticket comes in - press the "allocate" button next to "New Starters" The button looks at who can do these tasks and gives you the next name in the list.
It then allows you to enter the ticket number
The ticket number, the month it's allocated in and the name of the person it's been allocated to is put in a table on a tab entitled "Starters"
This then updates a pivot table showing the "Starters by month"

Please see file attached with how far I've got with it. I just am unable to work out the macro / button part.

    thanks so much, in advance.

    Mel

The attached should get you started, as you can see there can be quite a bit to get these UF data entry things working. The attahced has no error handling - should make it easier to see what i have done etc...

Thank you so much, this is amazing!

Is there any way it can automatically say who the next person to allocate to is?

Also do you know why it's not populating my pivot charts?

Thank you again, I love it already!

1, How do you know who the next person is as it is just a list?
2, You will need to go to 'Data' in the ribbon and click 'refresh all' button to refresh the pivots.

1 - it would work through the list but the person allocating would have lots of things to allocate and wouldn't know who got the last item. By saying it out loud I've realised she could just look at the tab to see who the last person was.
2 - Got it - thank you that works.

Is there any easy way to edit the lists of people where some may leave or we have new people join the team?

You can add to the bottom of the tables if anyone new, you can delete from the tables by using right click - Delete - table row
