    sharing macros

    Hi.

I am trying to share a macro i created based on this solved post

    https://www.excelforum.com/excel-pro...-new-post.html

The macro works perfectly, so I saved it a a xlam file and put it on a colleagues computer and added it onto their ribbon. Security prevents the macro from running which is bizarre as it runs on mine. I changed the macro security to enable all macros but it still wont run.

Any ideas? Whats the best way to share a macro?

    Regards

On the problematic computer, check in the file manager whether the XLAM file is locked (File Properties, General tab, if there is an Unlock checkbox, check it).
