Copy/paste webpage to excel using chrome vba

    Hello,

Hope all is going well. I am trying to get some data from a website using VBA. I want to open the webpage on chrome and then just select all copy and paste it on an excel sheet. I have the code to open the browser in chrome

how can I proceed to copy paste the page into excel sheet?

NOTE: I can't install selenium webdriver or any other third party apps on my machine because it is a work computer otherwise it would have been so much easier. Any help would be appreciated. thank you

p.s: I am open to any other suggestions.

    regards,

Have you considered using Power Query to open your web pages? Advantage is any changes to Web page are automatically updated when the Refresh Icon is selected.

I have tried connecting with power query but keep getting a credential invalid error even though my credentials are correct; after trying to resolve this error and getting nowhere, I started the VBA approach. but maybe I should dig a bit more on the power query side. thank you for the reply

It's doable with curl but mockup would be appreciated, yes.

Get data from web using Legasy

    Hello guys,

I was trying to get data from the web using the get-web-data power query option from Excel but I kept getting the invalid credentials error. then I read online that if I enable legacy mode and try to do get in, it should work. it worked indeed BUT no data is coming in, the tables get imported but only headings, instead of data the text "Loading..." is there and that's it. I have attached screenshots of what I am seeing on the web and what is getting imported to the Excel sheet. any help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    SN

    Hello,

Thank you for the suggestion, I was able to make some progress using the power query option but am still stuck. I started a new thread for the path of the goal has changed. Hopefully, it will get me to my destination.
