Help with a Lookup or index pasted as values

    Hello,
I have attached a data logsheet. I am looking for some help on a function that will pull data from the red cells in the "Unit 1" tab into the format shown on the "Unit 1 compiled" tab.

Some things that make this a little challenging.

    1. The logsheet is saved as a separate file every day. For instance.....data on 11/29/24 will be added then saved as a file named 11/29/24. The following day this same file will be opened up and data will be added for that day and then saved as 11/30/24.

    2. The logsheet is "not" saved as values. So some of the data in red cells is pulled into the sheet with a tag from a DCS system. So when you open the 11/29/24 file on 11/30/24.....the tagged cells automatically populate with data from the DCS on 11/30/24.

So in summary, I would like the data in red cells from unit 1 tab to be pasted as values in the unit 1 compiled tab. Then when this same file is opened and populated with data the next day.....I want that day's data to be saved as values below the previous day's data....and so on.

    Thanks for your help!

If you want Excel to "remember" data that is no longer in the file, you will need VBA.

You'll need t ask a Moderator to move your query to the VBA part of the forum.
