im trying to use an type 8 input box to return a range of cells, but instead of retuning the range, i would like to return the text in those 4-5 cells selected.
any take on this?

I'm not sure that is possible. You could return the text in a message box. However, if you select a very large range, the message box will be quite large. Try this macro.

Practice makes perfect. I'm very far from perfect so I'm still practising.
Im not certain you can use an Input Box to return cell values.
You can use a Textbox to return cell values.

Good question...Did not think abouth that...Loop as per @Mumps above is the way to go then if multicolumn, multirow selection...
