    VBE search

Search in VBE is broken. No dialog box comes up.

Search in Excel still works fine in a worksheet.
Anyone else have this before? Thinking it might relate to the Google
Desktop Search, that is uninstalled, but that didn't do it.

    Excel 2003
    Thanks

Detect and Repair doesn't detect or repair this either

I use xl2002 and have never seen it, but...

How did you try to get the dialog:

Does it appear when you use the shortcut key, ctrl-f?
Does it show up when you use edit|find?

I got nothing but silly guesses--keyboard broken, mouse problems???

    Thank You,
I am not sure what the cause was. Ultimately I did a detect and repair
    in office which fixed nothing.
Eventually after a restart all is well again.
Was not responsive to shortcut key ctrl-F or anything.
I just didn't want to reinstall office....but it must have been the
    fix needed.

Rebooting solves lots of unexplained problems.

(Leaving the PC off, solves many more!)
