COUNTIF Question - Should Be Easy

    Greetings,
I imagine the answer to this question is so simple, it is eluding me.
First off, i had this working at one time, but after a re-install, I can't get it back working like I had it.

I am collecting baseball cards. I am having "countif" keep track of what I have.

I have a Colum where I place an "X" in each card I have. The ones I don't have are blank.

At one time, I had the formula at the bottom of the sheet, like this:
Completed cards(In Bold) and the formula under that
    =COUNTIF(C9:C907,"X")

Now if I run it manually, it gives me the correct answer. But at one I had it, where the answer was displayed, not the formula. And it looked like this:

    Completed cards
    215

This ran automatically, if I put an "X", the answer would automatically increase by 1. Now I have to run it manually.

And I don't want the formula showing, but the answer.

What must I do, to get it back the way it was?

Sorry I am not making myself to clear, hehehe. Guess I am trying to over-explain. If I need to reclarify, I will.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello Warloc,
What version were you using originally and what are you using now?
Let me know and we'll go from there.
