Hello all,

I have made a unique spreadsheet to my constuction industry and would like to protect it. For two reasons; 1) I am going to sell this to others in the industry. and 2) I will be sharing it freely with those from my work and my subcontractors. I would like to keep others from pirating or giving away my work. And this has been created at home on my own free time; this is not property of my company. Yea right, who has free time? The point is I have a right to protect my own work that I've created.

So I'd like to know if there is a way to protect the worksheet beyond the traditional password that keeps others from messing with the formulas or seeing the formulas.

The only thing I have been thinking is that maybe there is a way to put some sort of an expiration date on the worksheet that makes the worksheet work for only so long - like 6 months or a year.

I can update the worksheet for the people I share this with on a timely basis (with neat-o improvements). This method would yield sharing to my workers and friends in the business; and protect me from not being able to sell this to my competitors.

I am new to this forum, so thank you all kindly for any info.
