Help with basic macro please .

I have a sheet that is 5 columns wide lets say .

I want my macro to put values into the 6th according to this .

I want it to compare lets say column c of the current and prevous row , if they are equal subrtract columns d of the current and the previous .

if they are not make the cell red .

and it would do this for every two rows . so it would do the test on rows 2 and 3, and then 4 and 5 . ect ect for the whole sheet .

i am pretty good with c , so if you could suggest the basic methods that would be extremely helpful
