Macros running very slow in Excel 2003

Does anyone know why macros that ran ok in Excel 2000 now take forever in Excel 2003? This affects any kind of macro and turning Auto Recalculation On and Off does not help.

I have encountered the same problem. I have some very lengthy macros that used to take about 10 seconds to execute on my 2.66 XP Pro with Office 2003. Then, about a month ago I noticed the macros were taking about 60 seconds to execute. I have the same macros on my 366 Win2K Office 2003 laptop, and it takes the same amount of time to execute them on the laptop, which is still longer than it used to take. I am mystified!
