Some way to macro a checkbook into Excel?

Is there any way to design an excel macro to input a checkbook in? I have QuickBooks but would like to also enter into a spreadsheet simple info as:

    Date
    Check #:
    Amount:
    Payee:

    Customer:
    Payee:

I realize this is perfect application for access but I don't have access and I know that access really is just a 'glorified' spreadsheet.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello Larry,

It can be done. Your post is a little confusing to me. What I gather is you want to create a database using an Excel worksheet to hold checking information. I am not clear about how you want to enter the information (manually or automated) and if this information will be accessed by other programs? Repost how you would like the data to appear on the worksheet, and which if any programs might also use this information.

    Thank you,

    Entering info into Excel

What I'd like to do is enter the following fields:

    Date
    Check Number:
    Check Payee:
    Amount:
    Deposit:
    Received from:

With this info, if I could enter into an Excel, I'd be able to track all incoming and outgoing monies (i.e. Received from: or Payee).

I have this all in an excel now, but I have (26) different columns. I'd like to combine if possible. I know it's confusing, but it's confusing to me too. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello Larry,

Do you want a macro to show a form that you enter this information into and then have it post it on the worksheet, say in the next available row? I can help you do that.

    Let me know,

    Hello Larry,

Hopefully fifth time is the charm. I have created a worksheet with macros and a user form that fully automates entering the check onto the worksheet. The worksheet is attached as a zip file. If you have any questions please e-mail me at LeithRoss@aol.com.
