Copy data into cells until changes trigger new copy

In column C is the name of an "employee A" follwowed by multiple rows of
data specific to this employee with no further data in column C until the
next employee, "Employee B". The same sequence repeats itself for Employee
B,then C,D.... There are more 5,000 employees contained in this spreadsheet.
Is there a way to copy the employee name into each subsequent row of
column C until the name changes and then repeat the same process for all
    employees?

    Hi,
What do you want to do with the copy of this data for each employee?
    Thanks,

Take a look at Debra Dalgleish's site:
    http://www.contextures.com/xlDataEntry02.html

She has a couple of techniques.
