    Checkbox Activation - control tab

Hi Again! My first question on this forum was answered with success, so I guess I'm 1 for 1

I'm working with checkboxes; when I insert a new check box, right click on it and select Format Control, there should be a tab called control, so that I can select a cell to reference.

However, when I right click now and go to Format Control, I only see 4 tabs; the control tab is missing.

    Q. What didn't I turn on or go to, to get the control tab to show up?

    Thanks

    Hi again

There are 2 different checkbox controls in Excel.

    1. The "Forms Menu Checkbox" which is less scary to a Newbie - v easy to work out.

    2. The Control Toolbox - which is the one you're using is much more powerful. To get the output to populate a specific cell, right click the checkbox ans select properties. The property you want to use is LinkedCell. (eg putting A1 in it will populate A1 with True/False)

    Enjoy
