Hello! First post in this forum ever, and my need to learn Excel has just been thrown in my lap, so bear with me please.

I have two sheets in Excel 97. One sheet is an entry screen that calculates discount percentages for 90 days worth of data. The second sheet holds this entry data, and uses it for percentage processing. The second sheet is also saved as a .txt file and imported into another program. I need Excel to number the rows, sort of like numberical bullet points, and place the count in a specified column so that the other program can use the row count as a unique key.

Any suggestions?
