I have some code behind a spreadsheet (Excel 2003/WinXP) that a user tries to
open using Excel 97. As soon as they open the dheet they get a nasty-gram:

    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 1000
    Date: 5/24/2005

    Description:

    Hello Patrick,

You will need to save a copy of the workbook in Excel '97 format for this user. When you Save As the copy, scroll through the Save As Types and select Excel '97. You may still haveto make some changesto your code though, because there are functions in 2003 that have no counter part in Excel '97.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
