    Isolating New Entries

Hi, I have a big problem that I hope someone can help me with.

Every day I receive a product listing (updated) to reflect the stock availability and the new or deleted products. This file contains on average about 10,000 entries using four columns.

My problem is that I have to update the previous days spreadsheet with the new spreadsheet. Thus removing or adding the new entries.

As you can imagine on this scale this is more than tedious.

The reason I cannot simply just replace the data is that the 4 columns are then added to an existing spreadsheet which in turn is then used in mysql database.

So all information must be retained in the existing data and I only need to know which new or deleted item have occured in the new spreadsheet.

I hope I have explained this clearly!!!

    Thanks

    Good afternoon kcm

I think I understand what you want. Do you need to find duplicates in the list? If so, try this link which gives advice and different methods of rooting them out.

Not quite the answer though it was getting close.

The column information I receive daily is 4 columns of which is then added to the remaning columns in another spreadsheet.

The data that changes daily is: "stock status", "price", "product name", "product code".

The other spreadsheet contains things like urls and image links and names etc.

So it is vital that when updating these bits of information do not get adjusted or removed.

This is dropshipping at its worst!!! My suppliers only update me on the 4 columns as stated above. It is then upto me to create a database to reflect all of this on a daily basis.
