    Excel and .NET

I'm a novice coder, but I thought I could expand my macros by combining and enhancing them on .NET. So I copy/pasted them in only to find that VB.NET doesn't speak VBA.

Can somebody put up a link or something on how these two can work together? Do I just need to declare something @ the beginning of the sub? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using Excel '03 by the way. Since the first post I've found a couple of bits of info that make me feel like I may be headed in the right direction.

One says to Dim xlApp as Excel.Application, but I don't think its working. Maybe its an '02 thing?

The other says to use Extended Properties = Excel

Am I on the right track? Is there anywhere on the web I can find some working code with these in use? I'm gonna do a search on this forum to see if I can find anything, but I'm starting to feel like I'm in rough seas.
