    excel to access and back

in excel i have a single row range A1:Z1

how can i get that to be an entry into microsoft access?

then also, in excel could i do a vlookup from access? or what would be a
good way to get data out of access?

    thanks in advance

    hi,
    Excel to Access.
Best way might be to link access to the xl range.
in acess Find>get external date> link>follow the wizard.
you can then write and append query to append it to any table.

    access to excel.
    again link via microsoft query.(MSQ)
in excel Data>Get external data>new Database query>follow the wizard.
here you can link to access tabel or access querys.

RE: excel to access and back

    hi,
    excel to access.
technical point. declare your range in xl a named range then link access to
the named range instead of the entire sheet. access sometimes gets confused
    with xl's "used space".
