can u apply a script to an excel export to manipulate the data?

i need to break apart some data in specific columns of an excel spreadsheet
as it exports out to another spread sheet. eg column 1 has: [City, Province,
postal code] and need to break it out into 3 separate columns:
[City],[province],[postal code]

select the column, then do Data=>Text to columns, select delimited and
specify comma as the delimiter.
