compile error in hidden module

I have suddenly acquired an error every time I start a spreadsheet. It says
"compile error in hidden module - autoexec when i initiate and it says
compile error in hidden module Distmon when I close a sheet.
Have no idea of even where to look to fix this. I hae tried "detec and
repair" to no avail and all available virus checkers.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

It points at PDFMaker.xla as being the culprit.

Check your file Add-Ins and try to remember if you clicked or un-clicked any,
before or after any save operation.
