    ranking values

does anyone know of an efficient way to rank 10 values and place them in descending order. for example, there are 10 teams in a league and at the end of the season they've accumulated points based on their performance. however, as they are listed now they are not in order from 1st to 10th place. i just want to be able to hit a button (or better yet, maybe there's a formula I could type in a cell) and have them displayed in order from 1st to 10th. any ideas?

    Re: ranking values

in my example, the formula is in l6, tot_Points is a named range M6:M16. m6 is
    team 1's points

    =RANK(M6,ToT_Points)

    just copy down

    here you go

here's my email, thanks a ton for the help. keeping in mind that I don't wish to rearrange the order of the scores but to rearrange the names of the teams and in different cells from the originals. kind of like a final showing of the ranking seperate from where the scores are actually kept track.
