excel file recovery....urgent please...

    Exclamation excel file recovery....urgent please...

    hi guys,

    im badly in need of your expertise....

    im doing some reports here in excel with some macros....
    i was able to save the file but when i try to open the file.....
    it displays a message that Microsoft Excel for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close......and it automatically closes.....and even when i restart my PC still the same error occurs....is my file corrupted? how and why? is there any other way to recover it?....its my deadline today.....i have been doing that for 3 days....please help me.....

    First, make a copy of your file. Work on the copy.

    If you have tried xl's built in file repair capability (xl2002 or later),
    then

    download and install Open Office (a free download) and try to open it in
    that. Then try saving it from there.

    many have been successful in recovering there file with that application.

    Have you tried disabling the macros on the workbook.
