VBA to Download File from ASPX Website

I'm having the following difficulty. I've been using sendkeys (unfortunately) to download an Excel file from an https website (site has .aspx extension). Given the obvious constraints with sendkeys, i'm attempting to find a more direct method of accomplishing the same result. However, I can't seem to find the URL to the to-be-downloaded Excel file.

Sendkey method works as follows:
1) Navigates to login page
2) Passes credentials
3) Selects "Excel" checkbox
4) Clicks "Export" button
5) Saves file from Downloads folder to Desktop

Any help would be appreciated. Unfortunately, i'm not able to share the website itself due to security constraints.

Can't help without the file URL to download neither the webpage address … So Google may be your friend !
