.protect userinterfaceonly:=true not working?

i have several macros in my workbook and a worksheet that needs to be protected. i added:

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

to the workbook, but i still get the following error:

The cell or chart you are trying to change is protected and therefore read-only.

To modify a protected cell or chart, first remove protection using the Unprotect Sheet command

what am i missing?

edit: figured it out. a cell link caused the problem.

Are you ensuring the proper cells are unlocked??
