    Fantasy Football scores calculations...

Hi, i am trying to find a way to automaticly calculate my fantasy football scores. I have a few ideas about how to aproach this task but i need a little help.

I would like to have it grab the current stats from the internet, so that i don't have to enter the data myself. I know that there are ways to access data from the internet but am not sure if you can grab specific data from desired sites.

an example of what i am trying to do:

    http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpag.../gamelogs/2006

this page lists the accomplishments of Eli Manning for the 2006 football season. I want to put his stats in a worksheet, in seperate columns for each date (9/10, 9/17...). Then calculate the points i earned in my league based on these numbers that i get from the internet.

example; on 9/17 Eli had 371 yards, and 3 tds
    1 point for each 25 yards = 14 pts
3 points for each TD = 9 pts

I think that i can figure out the logic to calculate the points my self once i figure out how to get the data into my spreadsheet.

Does anyone know a good method to put this data into my spreadsheet, and have this data update itself if the numbers change? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just learned this yesterday... so I'll give it a try.

I was able to get the data but not in columns.

It's in rows just like it is on the net.

Use DATA->Import External Data -> New Web Query

    Paste http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpag.../gamelogs/2006 in the URL

Select the arrow next to Game LOg

Click Import at the bottom of the dialog.

That data is now hooked to the website. (If they change any data for the current rows on the website your worksheet will be updated). I am not sure if it will automatically add another row when they add the next date row on the website.
