Have any of you had an error message like this...

I was trying to run a macro on a relatively conventional worksheet yesterday, but I kept on getting error messages similar to the following:

"Cannot exit Design Mode because Control 'CommandButton1' can not be created"

I had created a button on the worksheet (CommandButton1) and the associated macro was pretty simple, but I couldn't get it to run.
I tried removing the button and copying & repasting the macro code into its Sub, but it didn't work.
In the end, I had to go back to an earlier version of the worksheet and copy & paste the macro into that.

Any ideas what might have caused this?
Was it just that the worksheet had become corrupted during the save, or something?

BTW, I have also noticed that the text labels on the Command Buttons I set up are often unclear - like they're crunched up, or cut off half-way down.
Any ideas as to what is causing this?

as for the text on the buttons, sounds like they need to be resized so the text fits.
for the error ... not sure, maybe if you posted a copy of the exel file that is causing it, maybe I could figure it out.
