    Is Powerpoint file run in Excel

    I have a Powerpoint file which I want to run in MS Excel 2002. If is it possible then can any one pls tell me how to do this?

    The insert...object allows you to insert a powerpoint file into Excel. If the ppt already exist use the create from file option.

    Actually I've a file in '.ppt' format. In the file, there is '.wmf' format file as pasted & where we (user) can't manipulate any way (i.e. as in .pdf format). The file is absolutely unreadable, but we need to use it. Thus I wanna open the file in Excel so that we may use / atleast can read properly.

    But after using ur process it is still in same condition.We assume that the file originally in excel format. Thats all.

    if you think it is an xls file but incorrectly named. Make a copy (for safety) just rename it to .xls and then try opening it.

    or if you open the file in notepad most of it will be gobbledegook but be patient and scroll through. You will probably find some text in plain english that will give a clue as to whether it was originally a ppt or xls.
