My previous thread had an improper title. Sorry for the error.

Hello all,

I am very naive regarding macros, but need assistance if anyone is willing. What I am trying to do is to create "holding accounts". These "holding accounts" would be a grouping of rows set aside for such activity. The intent would be to minimize redundant entry. As example:

Row 1 is 8" PVC sewer pipe 0' - 6' deep with qty of 1000
Row 2 is 8" PVC sewer pipe 6' - 8' deep with qty of 500
Row 3 is 8" PVC sewer pipe 8' - 10' deep with qty of 350

and so on....

What I would like to do is make redundant materials be able to be entered on another row like so:

Row 200 Purchase 8" PVC sewer pipe Qty 1850

From there the proposed macro could be called in and a list of the bid items (identified by a "Y" in column B) and I could select the items I would like to spread these costs to (total item costs are in column AA). The items would spread by the prorated quantities of the total of selected "Y" items (the quantities are identified in column D). If anyone needs additional info for this please let me know.

Thanks for any help,

Mark
