    Highlight differences using VBA

    Hi
My VBA skills are limited. Not bad, but far from good.

I am receiving regular updates of a series of workbooks (each with several worksheets).

I need to be able to quickly and clearly identify any changed cells.

Sharing and change tracking is not an option.

My current solution involves creating helper cells (hundreds of them per worksheet) and using conditional formatting to highlight the changed cells.

Can someone help me with some VBA to sit behind a button that I can add to each of the workbooks that will work it's way through each cell in each worksheet and compare it to the same cell in another workbook/worksheet (worksheet names stay consistent between workbooks) - (ideally I'd be able to enter that workbook path and name on a control sheet) and set the background colour of the changed cell to a light green with a border.

    Not asking much I know.

If someone can prviode me with a start, I can probably manage the rest.

    Many thanks in advance.
    Tony

    That's a great start Dave - thanks.

Of course, I'm open to anyone who can help me get closer to my "requirements" (I'm just trying to save myself grief trying to remember how to code of course :-))
