Cool How to flag a change in the spreadsheet

    Hi guys,

I have a large spreadsheet that I will be sending out to people. People may apply changes to this spreadsheet or they may not if everything is OK on it. Is it possible to have a cell return a value saying whether there've been any changes to a particular row or not?

I guess one way to do this is to have a copy worksheet that has the original data and run a simple comparison function between the actual worksheet and the clone (hidden) one. This doesn't sound like a novel solution to me. I think there is a better way.

Please also note I'm not keen to use Track Changes for various reasons.

    Many thanks,

    Anar

    Hi,

You could use a little code to highlight changes that are made

In the Worksheet VB will highlight all altered cells green
    Rule 1: Never merge cells
    Rule 2: See rule 1
