Create a list from a schedule?

    Hello,

Not very experienced with excel and so am not even sure if this is possible....

My workplace has a weekly schedule that looks like so in excel...

...and a daily worksheet to keep track of breaks that looks like this...

    http://www.netsketched.com/breaksheet.gif

... is it possible to parse the info from the schedule into the breaksheet as oppose to manually typing it in as we have been doing thus far? As you can imagine this is very time consuming as we have about 90 employees on staff a day.

I dont even know where to begin to achieve this so any help, even a point in the right direction, would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the mockup excel file...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello John84,

I am certain what you want to do is possible after viewing your workbook. I must confess I am unclear on your concept. The break sheet has four columns on it. What will be entered here? Will the names on sheet change daily according to who is scheduled to work that day? Let me know so I can help you.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

    Hi Leith,

    Thanks for helping out.

The break sheet has four columns on it. What will be entered here?
As far as the excel sheet goes, this will remain empty. We simply record the staffs' break times by pen.

Will the names on sheet change daily according to who is scheduled to work that day?
Yes. The schedule will also change on a weekly basis. What im hoping to happen is the breaksheet will update itself according to what changes I make to the schedule. Im thinking 7 different breaksheets for each day of the week unless there is a way to have the breaksheet update itself according to what day it is. Would it also be possible to have the staff listed on the breaksheet according to time?

    Thanks again.

    Hello John84,

Thanks for the bump. I haven't forgotten about you. This last week I have been working on rush job for a client ($$$!). I 'll give you an update in the next day or two.

    Thanks,
    Leith Ross
