Create a macro that goes in internet Explorer

I want to create a macro that goes into a web page and take data there, but when I try to record the macro it only record task that are made in excel and ignore anything that is done in explorer. Is there a way in VBA or Microsoft Scrip editor? Or a way to record a macro outside of excel?

Your post is vague on details

    Have you looked at using
Data Menu > Import External Data > New Web Query
