programming error in office 2007 - object library

Today, I was trying to download an excel file I build onto a friend's cpu who has office 2007. As we were navigating through the userform, all of a sudden an error popped up.

The error said something along the lines of object library not found, I don't recall the exact message,

but it highlighted the Format word in the below code.

I would appreciate any response or help in getting this resolved or how to avoid this.

    thanks

programming error in office 2007 - object library

    Hi Josh

I would suggest looking under your Project Preferences to see if you have any items showing up as Missing. You may have used a later version of a dll or OCX control on your friends PC which you may not have.

If any show up as missing, you may need to update these on your PC, by unchecking those items missing, and readding.

Give that a go and see if you still get the same problem.

    Steps to following.

    Open Project References

    Search for Missing checked items
    Uncheck missing checked items
    Close Project References
    Open Project References
Re add those items that were coming up as missing.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Kind Regards,

    Had the same issue

I had the same problem wehen attempting to use FORMAT in my code. I took the advice here and it worked.

I found MSWindows Common Contorls - 3 6.0 (sp5) shown as missing. I unchecked that, closed the preferences, andthen reopned it.

Once reopened I could not find MSWindows Common Contorls - 3 6.0 (sp5) anywhere in the list of options. However, MSWindows Common Controls -2 6.0 (SP4) then appeared with a check mark next to it in the place that the Mising one had been displayed previously. I don't undertand it, but it resolved the issue.

    Thanks for your input!

    Steven, you saved me!!

Thank you so much for your help.

I did what you said and found this box checked in 2007 version

    MISSING: Microsoft Calendar Control 9.0

after i took this out, i didn't have any further bugs, I will still test but I am very happy!

Thank you and have a great day
