Reseting the Result of a Macro?

That is the code I have, it generates a unique number in col A once a certain amount of cells are filled in - ( i have a macro forcing them to fill them in as well)

what I need to know is how to cancel the autogenerated number if they delete the data entered???

They can enter the data, then delete it - be left with the autonumber and say "save" "yes" - it will allow that

but because it generates the date entered I want it to delete if they change their minds

    Any ideas????
