Automatically generate a list

I have a problem that I can't figure out. As you will see in the attachment, I need to enter data in column's A & B and I need the items to appear in column's C & D while eliminating spaces and repeats but yet also summing the quantities entered. While I have been using Excel for years, I have not tried my hand at custom Macro's. I have a feeling, that a custom macro is what's needed.

I'm hoping someone can help.

Have a look at the attached.

Sheet2 does this by using formulas.

Sheet3 gets the result by using the macro.
