    Count all but 0

i have the formula =COUNT(C2:C38) to count the # of students that took a test. some people didnt take the test though, hence they have a 0, how can i tell it to count all #'s but negatives or 0. im new at excel formatting, was thinking something of =>=1 or just =>0
