Update Linked Excel Worksheet

We currently have the following problem:

One user has a worksheet open on one computer, another user has a seperate worksheet open in a seperate workbook on another computer. The two worksheets are linked. Is it possible to make changes to one of the worksheets, and have the other linked worksheet(which is open on the other computer) updated without a prompt? Just in case this wasn't implied, all of our worksheets are on a shared drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody have input on this?
