launch a video when the workbook opens

Is it possible to launch a video when the workbook opens? I know how to make a userform pop up and put a picture on it, but can you put in a video somehow instead of a picture? I didn't think you could, but I have been wrong before with this stuff. Thanks for your help.

Or embed a video and then open it from within the workbook on startup? Or starting up manually?

i dont think you can,but if all your users can access the same server you could hyperlink to it. or even post the video on your own webspace and hyperlink to that

    Not sure if this helps

When you embed a file inside another, by definition it travels inside the file so you don't have to worry about sending it separately. The file that contains the embedded will, however, be quite large because it will include the embedded file.

To embed an audio or video file inside an Excel worksheet, click where the file should be embedded – typically by selecting a cell, and choose Insert, Object and click the Create From File tab. Browse to find the file to insert, select it and click Insert and then Ok. You will see a small box appear. To play the movie, right click it and choose Package Object, Activate Contents. You will need to have a player application installed capable of playing the file.

Double clicking the file will play it on your computer but won't do so on another person's computer.
