orginizational charts in excel

I have office 2003

From the drawing toolbar you can creat organizational charts.

How can the individual shapes within an organizational charts be referrred to in vba code ?

I see that they are assigned names but you cannot use those names to refer directly to them in code.

If you attempt to record a macro many of the the formatting functions become disabled not allowing you to record and then see the code structure.
