    expanding size ranges to known increments

    Hi,

    I’m trying to work out how to solve the following problem:

    I have data in the following form:

    Size 1 is the lower end of a size range and size 2 is the upper. I want to get excel to add standard size increments between the two limits and add the appropriate code to each individual size. This would look as follows:

    I can perform this operation by hand using conditional formulas for the simple example shown. However, ‘table a’ is repeated a number of times with different classes (x1 to xn) so I would like to be able to automate the expansion of the size ranges.

    e.g.
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    The code can be common to a number of different size and class combinations.

    This one suits a macro solution but it does depend upon how the table A's are laid out with respect to each other (so that the code knows where to look). Can you advise?

    After looking at teh problem in a few differnet ways, I've managed to solve the problem using some queries in Access.
