Making a Excel File Demo Version

    Hello!

Kindly help me to make a excel file demo version which will expire after 30 days of first use (The Register message should appear after 30 days).

Also if possible the file should not work even when transferred to a new computer.

    Thanks and regards,

    Shankar

Place this code in the workbook module, check this out if you don't know where that is
    http://www.contextures.com/xlvba01.html
For this example sheet 2 is the worksheet the user must get to to do any work...
Please Login or Register to view this content.
    change the date accordingly,
this code hides worksheet 2 when the workbook closes and when opening the workbook, macro's must be enabled and the date must not be past the date specified, or the sheet will not be shown and the user cannot work on the workbook,
a message box will show , displaying how many days are left and if the trial period is over

Remember that you will find it extremely difficult to make an Excel application completely secure without spending money. Here's another example

    Hope that helps.

    Hello!

Thanks for your reply. I have included the code in Sheet2 as instructed. However the even after lowering the Macro Security level and changing the system date to 2008 the file is opening without any warning message.

    Thanks and regards,

    Shankar
