    How to use macros

    Hi guys,

New member here, I had a few Noob questions for you guys. I am looking into learning more about how to use Macros. Is there any place someone could suggest?

Also, I am looking for dummy data that I can practice to create Pivot tables for
different Training analysis with Metrics, Is there someone who can help. It is required for a new role that I will be involved in.

    Thanks

If I were starting from scratch, I'd order an entry-level book (there are suggestions here on the site).

While I was waiting for the book to arrive, I'd read every bit of code posted in this and other forums, try it in a workbook if it required only a reasonable amount of setup, and then go through the code line by line with continuous reference to Help to understand what it was doing.

I'd also peruse the Visual Basic Reference and the Visual Basic Language Reference in Help.

If you've ever done any programming, VBA is very simple language-wise, at least until you start pondering classes. The Excel object model takes time because there's a lot of it.
