    Creating Outlook appointments from Excel

    Hi All,

here's a question that's way over my head, since I don't know anything about Excel programming.

The attached sheet is a workschedule for 11 employees. The letters "d", "a" and "n" represent day, evening and nightshift. Other letters in the schedule can be ignored. What we need is to have a macro that automaticly creates outlook appointments in the calendar so that we lazy guys don't have to check the excell file, but just check our own calendar.

Example: Cell C7. When the macro is activated an appointment should be created in the calendar of

    - employee Tri-Huy Do (B7)
    - date 01-01-08 (C2).
    - Subject should be "Evening shift"
    - Start and end time should be 14:45 - 23:00

Other start and end times are:

    Dayshift: 06:45 - 15:00
    Eveningshift: 14:45 - 23:00
    Nightshift: 22:45 - 07:00

If it's possible it would be great to have a button to create all appointments for all employees in one go.

I know it's possible to create a calendar appointment from excel as it's covered in this thread. But unfortunately I don't understand enough of macro's and such to transform this in what I need.

Hope this is possible, and I made enough sense in my explanation

Hmm, interesting site.. unfortunately it's almost entirely hocus pocus for me. I'll try to look into it some more. Let you know if I come up with something
