Hi,

I have a list of numbers on worksheet A. I assign a status "A", "B","C" etc in another column to each of these numbers and need to automate a process whereby if I have a subset of these numbers contained on another worksheet the status value will change from "A" to "C" for allrecords contained within the subset. I'm at a bit of a loss how to do this at the mo...

Can anyone point me in the right direction???

I think what you are looking for is the VLOOKUP formula. You can se how to use it i column E in my attachment.
