how to set RGB colors ?

I have a 10-15 lines to select and set the color of cells based on cell value in a loop like:

They do not work. The cells are being set to some of the standard index colors.

What is wrong? How to set these arbitrary colors of my choosing for each cell?

    Help appreciated.

    Hello dpenny,

Excel worksheet cells only support 56 colors. To see the full range of RGB values you need to use an object and set its back color to the RGB value.

You can change the color palette to your preference, either via the user interface (Tools > Options > Color ...) or VBA, e.g.,
