    Table Manipulation.

Hello guys, I was wondering if there was a simple way to accomplish a task I can't seem to get working with just excel formulas.

Essentially I'm trying to create a chart that will show the availability of a classroom during a certain time period. I'll have an input chart where the user can schedule various trainings in specific classrooms and the output should block out the appropriate time period for that class length. There are various types of classes and each one has it's own length, that's what is giving me issue, I can only make it work with one length so far.

So say I've got a chart showing the previous 4 weeks and the current week up to 13 weeks out. If somone comes in and puts training X into week 3 I need that room to be occupied for 4 weeks starting the week they chose. But if they put in training Y in the top chart it need only block out 2 weeks.

    Any tips would be appreciated.

Why not post what you have so far?
    Hope that helps.

I didn't think it would be of any use, I've only been using formulas in excel. It essentially checked if there was an X in a given week and started counting to 4. When it got to 4 it recycled to 0 and checked for x's again. Any cell that didnt have a 0 in it was red and couldnt be used. However that only works when the length of training remains a static 4 week period which is not the case. An example of what I had it doing is in this sheet.

It's the chart to the far right in the first tab.

Nobody has a clue how to do this? I keep trying various methods but they are all flawed in one way or another.
