Add name to list, not in a drop down box.

I'm still learning but I can't figure this one out. I have a drop down box with a list of names. I also have a cell next to it where I can input a new name that is not in that list. I can not find the right codes to take a name that I input and add it to the list, using that cell to start the macro "only" when a new name is entered. I would really appreciate the help.
